PJ Gach Freelance Writer

Once again, I have proved myself technolgically challenged. I have a ton of articles and am at present trying to figure out a way to upload them. I just found this excellent page on EDGE which lists all the pieces I've written for them and their links! Until I can figure out how to upload the articles themselves here, please be patient, and use the link.

This will bring you to the main site for EDGENew York. Look for the search box, type in my name. Hit enter, A list of articles that I have written with the appropriate URLs will show up. Then all you have to do is click.

Shortcuts are short pieces - usually 3-4, that rotate on the first page of the style section and are up for a month. Here are examples of four shortcuts that I've written.
They can be read in every city hub; New York, Boston, Providence, Ptown and New England.

Below is a piece that I wrote about a Fashion Week highlight.

Nicole Miller and York Peppermint Patties Create Lmtd Ed. Bags
by PJ Gach
EDGE Style Contributor
Thursday Feb 2, 2006

York Peppermint Patties are a wondrous thing; just the right ratio of chocolate and mint, melting and tingling in your mouth. Nicole Miller designs fun, quirky and chic clothing and accessories with the right touch of whimsy. What happens when you combine the two? Do you get a designer dripping in chocolate and mint? Or a mint you can wear?

You’re close; York Peppermint Patties and Nicole Miller have teamed up to create a series of limited edition bags- the York Sensational Collection by Nicole Miller. And oh boy! Some of these babies are studded with Swarovski crystals, and yummily enough all are inspired by that famous pattie. The bags have been created to benefit the Young Survival Coalition (YSC).

The YSC is the only worldwide non-profit organization devoted to the cares and concerns of young breast cancer survivors and their supporters. Their website is filled to the brim with information on everything from the latest drug trials to volunteer programs.

The York Sensational Collection by Nicole Miller- which features everything from totes to crystal studded minauderies- will be available this spring at Nicole Miller boutiques nationwide. If you can’t wait until then, you’ll be happy to know that York will be auctioning a one-of-a-kind Nicole Miller purse during Olympus Fashion Week via a live eBay auction ( The auction will be held during Fashion Week, February 3-10. This one of a kind purse is valued at $2,000, and all proceeds from the sale of the purse will benefit YSC.
